Solution for e-billing at the DSAG Technology Days 2020

Softway AG was once again represented as an exhibitor at this year’s DSAG Technology Days at the Congress Center Rosengarten in Mannheim. True to the motto “Digitization has many sides. It’s all about the right twist”, Softway AG also showed a new side of itself: e-Invoicing – the solution for electronic invoicing! Softway used the sold-out event to inform the 2,300 trade fair visitors exclusively about e-invoicing.

E-invoicing, ZUGFeRD, XRechnung. These and many other buzzwords are used when it comes to the obligation to issue and send invoices to the highest federal authorities electronically from November 27. “Discussions with trade fair visitors have once again shown that many of them do not even know whether or when they will be affected by the obligation to issue invoices electronically,” reports István Veiland, CEO of Softway AG. Invoices to federal ministries and constitutional bodies must be issued in XRechnung format from November 27, 2020 – otherwise they will be rejected.

“However, the regulations and deadlines differ considerably from country to country. This means that many do not know when they too will be affected by the obligation to send invoices electronically,” says István Veiland. He therefore advises converting outgoing invoices in good time. “Invoices in ZUGFeRD format can be read by humans and machines. By converting your invoice in good time, you are not taking any risks!”

Softway’s e-Invoicing solution enables invoices to be created in ZUGFeRD and XRechnung format. E-Invoicing is not only compliant with EN 16931, but also allows individualized e-mail dispatch directly from SAP. This shortens work processes and minimizes sources of error in data reconciliation.

Despite the November 27 deadline, there is still uncertainty and a need for clarification in the market. “Many people were still unaware of the differences between the invoice formats. We are pleased that we were able to educate those affected and show them how they too can create their invoices in future. This confirms that our solutions and products are tailored to the requirements and needs of our customers,” explains Hans-Jürgen Pfister, Head of Sales Management.
