Course content

1. Basics ABAP OO (16 units)
In this SAP course, your developers will learn the central concepts of object-oriented development in ABAP – clearly and practically conveyed. Contents include

• Working with the class builder (attributes, visibility, instance vs. static)
• Structure and use of classes and methods (CREATE OBJECT, method calls)
• Inheritance in ABAP OO
• Use of interfaces

2. Basic debugging (4 units)
Efficient error management saves time and nerves. In this module, debugging in SAP is taught in a structured way:

• Classic breakpoints and /h entry
• Display and analysis of variables, structures, tables and objects
• Visibility and call hierarchy
• Breakpoints and watchpoints with conditions
• Layer-aware debugging
• System and update debugging

3. Practical exercises (20 units)
Participants apply what they have learned directly in a realistic example. This turns theory into real action competence, tailored to your SAP system landscape and everyday challenges.

Skills after the course

1. Confident handling of ABAP OO
After the SAP ABAP training course, participants will have mastered the basics of object-oriented programming in ABAP – from classes and methods to inheritance and interfaces. They will be able to build their own applications in a structured and maintainable way.
