A Look Back at the SAP trade fair in Hamburg

The DSAG Technology Days 2026 in Hamburg once again served as a key gathering place for the SAP community in Germany. On March 17 and 18, 2026, the Congress Center Hamburg (CCH) became a hub for exchange, innovation, and networking centered on SAP, artificial intelligence, data management, IT security, and digital business processes.

Softway AG was also represented at the event and can look back on two busy days at the trade show filled with engaging discussions, valuable contacts, and a successful partner presentation on e-invoicing.

DSAG Technology Days 2026: Focus on SAP, AI, Data, and Security

Under the theme “Lights on Layers. Clarity-by-Design?”, the 2026 DSAG Technology Days focused primarily on future-oriented topics. The following topics were particularly prominent this year:

• Artificial intelligence in the SAP-universe
• Data and Data integration
• Cybersecurity and IT-security
• E-Invoicing

Especially the topic of E-Invoicing is gaining more importance to companys. We’re happy to say that in this course many interests visited our presentation around E-Invoicing together with the Masa Group.

Partner Presentation: Sending E-Invoices from SAP using the Global E-Invoice Cloud

A particular highlight was the partner presentation titled “MASA Group: E-Invoicing from SAP – Fast, Secure, and Scalable!”

Together with Christian Miltz, director of group IT of the masa goup, Softway’s CEO Frank Engert demonstrated practical know-how on how modern E-Invoicing from SAP works.

The focus was on Softway AG’s Global E-Invoice Cloud. During a live demo, participants were able to send invoices to the platform themselves, thereby triggering a targeted stress test. Within a very short time, several thousand e-invoices were processed—quickly, reliably, and accurately. By the end of the demo, it was clear that the solution remains scalable, secure, and high-performing even under heavy load.

Future-proof e-invoicing solution for SAP

In addition to the live demo, the presentation focused primarily on how the Masa Group has implemented its e-invoicing process from SAP in a future-proof and innovative way. Among other things, the following aspects were highlighted:

• The challenges of implementing an e-invoicing solution
• Clean-core-compatible implementation
• Specific considerations during onboarding
• The architecture of the Global E-Invoice Cloud

The presentation highlighted how companies can design their processes in the areas of e-invoicing, compliance, and digitalization in an efficient and sustainable manner.

Exchange, Networking, and the SAP Community lifestyle

With around 3,300 attendees, the DSAG Technology Days in Hamburg once again provided ample opportunity for personal interaction and new ideas. For the Softway AG exhibition team, the two days were marked by many fruitful discussions, intensive networking, and the chance to reconnect with familiar faces from the SAP community.

It was especially great to reconnect with long-time contacts while also welcoming new visitors to our booth.

Outlook: DSAG Annual Congress 2026 in Cologne

After two successful days at the DSAG Technology Days 2026, Softway AG is already looking forward to the next major event in the SAP world: the DSAG Annual Congress 2026 in Cologne.
