Magic in SAP forms management – is it possible?

Can you call it magic when a company manages to roll out its forms in 36 countries within 80 days? We answered this question in our partner presentation “A kind of magic: forms rollout “36 countries in 80 days” together with Bürkert Werke. We can already say one thing in advance at this point: You don’t need to employ experienced magicians to make your SAP forms easily changeable.

Fabian Hespelt, IT – Sales & Marketing at Bürkert Werke, and Hans-Jürgen Pfister, Head of Sales Management (CSO) at Softway AG, took turns to explain how Bürkert was able to convert its forms within 80 days and how the subsequent rollout to 36 countries was accomplished. The two experts were supported by world champion magician Gaston Florin, who repeatedly elicited further information about the project from the discussion partners with exciting questions. At the same time, Florin built bridges for the audience in the Hanse Hall at Messe Bremen with two entertaining magic tricks to anchor the topic of the partner presentation in the minds of the visitors.

By the end of the presentation at the latest, it was clear that magic helps to better understand the topic – but it is not necessary to transform SAP forms from complex, historically grown constructs into simple, customizable individual parts without much effort. Less magical – but at least as exciting – was Softway AG’s espresso session on day 1 of the annual congress. Here, our Managing Director Frank Engert and Sales Manager Hans-Jürgen Pfister explained how easy SAP® form design can be. The DSAG partner stage used for this was located in the middle of the exhibition and interested parties were able to take part in the presentation via headset. Many curious ears quickly gathered in front of the stage. The presentation was followed by in-depth discussions at our stand. Thanks to our practical examples, we were able to quickly create an understanding of simple form design in SAP® and present our SSP Forms product.

On the road in the exhibition – The DSAG Annual Congress 2023

The DSAG Annual Congress in Bremen was very well attended with a total of almost 5000 participants. Highlights of the exhibition and participating companies were certainly the stand of the German-speaking SAP User Group e.V. (DSAG), the SAP® Networking Spaces, but also a flight simulator, a race track for remote-controlled cars and various competitions for trade fair visitors.

In addition to a happy hour on the first day of the trade fair, DSAG provided plenty of entertainment with the evening event on the second day and at the same time created the opportunity to network with one another. An organized band together with a DJ and some spectacular acrobatics and shows by other artists led through the evening and the night.
