Initial situation

Challenges in front of SSP Forms: large number of forms and complex structures.

Before the introduction of SSP Forms, HAHN+KOLB faced the challenge of managing a large number of forms for different organizational units in SAP. The internal structure with nine company codes, nine sales organizations, eight sales channels and ten plants led to a large number of individual logics that had to be mapped in the historically grown forms. The use of outdated SAPscript technology made it considerably more difficult to maintain and adapt to new requirements.

Thanks to Softway AG’s structured approach, the complexity of the forms was successfully mastered. The focus was on converting to standardized forms for order confirmations and quotations, which made maintenance considerably easier and improved clarity. The challenge of managing a large number of forms in different variants was successfully overcome thanks to the intuitive customizing function of SSP Forms.

Quick familiarization and high flexibility thanks to training and SSP Forms

HAHN+KOLB employees, even those with no previous experience in forms development, were able to quickly familiarize themselves with the new development environment thanks to training provided by Softway AG. The introduction of SSP Forms enabled intuitive maintenance of the forms and a rapid response to new requirements.

Results

The switch to SSP Forms led to significantly easier maintenance of the forms. The standardized procedure makes it possible to react quickly to requirements and to easily implement individual special requirements. The reduction of proprietary logic in favour of standardized processes creates clear structures.

The international setup of HAHN+KOLB was effortlessly supported by SSP Forms, especially for multilingual forms. Special requirements such as the third-party delivery bill were implemented transparently in customizing without complex programming.

Softway AG provides HAHN+KOLB with continuous support, allowing questions to be clarified quickly and in a targeted manner. Developer satisfaction and motivation have increased, as the maintenance and implementation of forms is now efficient and transparent.
