DSAG Annual Congress 2024 – Aftermovie of Softway AG

Experience the triad of SAP forms live!

What does it sound like when a company has managed to bundle its SAP forms into a harmonious triad? More than 70 people received the answer to this question in our somewhat different partner presentation “Futurebeat: Triad of SAP forms at U. I. Lapp GmbH”. Thanks to the support of keynote rapper Rico Montero and the 5x German beatbox champion Chezame the attendees were given an insight into simple, uncomplicated and efficient SAP forms that got under their skin.

In addition to the musical intro and outro of the presentation, the main focus was on the questions about the SAP forms modernization project at Lapp:
What was the reason for modernizing the forms? What was the initial situation? What was the procedure? What has changed since the changeover? How do the colleagues at U. I. Lapp GmbH cope with the new forms?

These and other questions were answered by Arthur Brodt, Teamlead Development Center of Competence at Lapp GmbH and Hans-Jürgen Pfister, Head of Sales Management (CSO) at Softway AG. By the end of the presentation at the latest, it was clear why the triad of the U. I. Lapp GmbH as the customer, Softway AG as the SAP forms expert and SSP Forms as the solution to the problems in the forms industry, ensures harmonious interaction.

More visitors than 2023 & podcast studio on the exhibition grounds

5,575 visitors were officially reported. This is over 500 more interested parties than last year, which clearly shows that the trade fairs of the German-speaking SAP User Group e.V. (DSAG) are gaining in importance. Another new feature this year was the opportunity to record your own podcast episode in a specially provided podcast studio. Of course, our CEO Frank Engert and co-host of the We love Forms podcast did not miss this opportunity and recorded an episode on the topic of e-billing together with Philipp Liegl, Managing Director at ecosio InterCom GmbH. The episode will be published at the beginning of November 2024 and will appear on all popular podcast platforms.

Time for an espresso & other trade fair highlights

In addition to the new podcast lounge, there were other highlights at the exhibition: at the DSAG stand, visitors could compete in a dance-off, a race track for remote-controlled cars invited visitors to take part in short speed duels and various competitions organized by the exhibitors provided variety in the hustle and bustle of the trade fair. Those who also wanted to enjoy a break from the trade fair had the opportunity to receive compact information on a wide range of topics within 20 minutes at the espresso sessions.

We also took the opportunity to briefly introduce ourselves, represented by Hans-Jürgen Pfister and Frank Engert. The DSAG partner stage used for the espresso sessions was located in the middle of the exhibition and interested parties were able to take part in the presentation via headset. Many curious ears quickly gathered in front of the stage. The presentation was followed by in-depth discussions at our stand. Thanks to our practical examples, we were able to quickly create an understanding of simple form design in SAP and present our product SSP Forms product.

In addition to the espresso sessions and the exhibitors’ activities, the DSAG’s supporting program was once again impressive: in addition to a happy hour on the first day of the trade fair, the DSAG provided plenty of entertainment with the evening event on the second day and at the same time created the opportunity to network with each other. An organized band together with a DJ and some spectacular acrobatics and shows by other artists led through the evening and the night.
